So proud to have Algonquin Outfitters sponsor another showing of our film, Painting the Wilderness of the Oxtongue,
at the Algonquin Theatre in Huntsville.
We were on hand to introduce the film
and to appreciate the most excellent art exhibit, Through Tom’s Eyes,
110 works of art painstakingly painted by Janine Marson over the past year in honour of Tom Thomson.
We were also joined by Randy Mitson of Algonquin Outfitters
who had on display a sampling of the paddle submissions to the Paddle Art Contest under way in recognition of the 100th anniversary of Tom Thomson’s death
and in support of OLAC (Oxtongue Lake for Arts & Culture).
The screening and exhibit were very well attended.
Through Tom’s Eyes is on public display at the Algonquin Theatre in Huntsville, Ontario until August 31, 2017.
So far, 35 superb entries have been received in the Algonquin Outfitters Paddle Art Contest. All entries must be received by Aug. 31st 2017.
